Chris Brind was born and grew up in North Shropshire. Before becoming a driving instructor, Chris served an engineering apprenticeship with Rolls Royce and continued to work in engineering for 15 years.

He has been teaching people to drive since 1988. He trained and qualified as an Approved Driving Instructor with the BSM in Derby. He then moved to their Chester branch before leaving BSM to join a smaller school in Shrewsbury. In 1997 Chris started his own driving school serving North Shropshire.

As well as teaching learners to drive, Chris also works for Shropshire County Council on the National Driver Improvement Scheme. He is a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and is a member of RoADA, the ROSPA Advanced Drivers' Association, where he holds a gold certificate as well as a Diploma in Advanced Driving Instruction. Chris is also an examiner for the new RoSPA Occupational Advanced Driving Test. His name appears on the DSA register of fleet driver trainers.  He is also a member of The Motor Schools Association and is Secretary of the Whitchurch and District Professional Driving Instructors' Association.

Chris lives in Market Drayton with his wife and their two children.
